Our first team rider in Australia is the perfect match for where our humble surf accessory company finds itself grounded in 2021. Cam MacDougall rips in all conditions and at the ripe age of 18 he is already a seasoned Bali tube rider and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him with open arms to the Freefall family. Taking out 1st places at every high profile grommet competition in his home state offers including world champion Joel Parko & Bede Derbridge’s editions, it was no surprise when he made it thru to the open division of the state finals recently. With a lust for blowing the tail at every given opportunity and heavily influenced by surfers like Gabriel Medina,the spectator sports level always goes up a few notches when Cam hits the water.
He’s sworn to secrecy his favourite break at home and that’s just the way we like it, his tight lipped attitude suits our research and development program we are about to embark on with him, heading up the Australian side of things. Calling out Bingin and Padang Padang as his favourite breaks in Bali – our fin range fits like a glove with his flow as that’s where the bulk of our products are first birthed and tested.
